Meditation of an old Fisherman

  • Poem by William Butler Yeats
  • YOU waves, though you dance by my feet like children at play,
  • Though you glow and you glance, though you purr and you dart;
  • In the Junes that were warmer than these are, the waves were more gay,
  • When I was a boy with never a crack in my heart.
  • The herring are not in the tides as they were of old;
  • My sorrow! for many a creak gave the creel in the cart
  • That carried the take to Sligo town to be sold,
  • When I was a boy with never a crack in my heart.
  • And ah, you proud maiden, you are not so fair when his oar
  • Is heard on the water, as they were, the proud and apart,
  • Who paced in the eve by the nets on the pebbly shore,
  • When I was a boy with never a crack in my heart.

Take the road

  • Why don’t you spend your time, Tonight
  • Reading some letters you wrote before going to hell?
  • Don’t you find
  • Cracks in the crowd of lies that you used to tell?
  • Come on and take the road
  • Come on and take the road
  • Let them cry and talk
  • Come on and take the road.
  • You had some hopeful times, And clouds
  • Along the road that you took on the way of hell,Sometimes
  • You were obsessed by the past,
  • and the suns you left.
  • Come on and take the road
  • Come on and take the road
  • Let them cry and talk
  • Come on and take the road.

Black and White Moon

  • Let’s ride on the other side of my memories
  • And close the door of my regrets.
  • We will escape over red counties
  • Listening to tunes to never forget.
  • The sun is hiding behind blue clouds
  • But, sure, I will blow them soon!
  • We are lost, and maybe tonight
  • We will see a black and white moon.
  • Pictures are succeeding so fast
  • I can’t get to watch them all!
  • Often, we brush against the blast
  • Picking flowers that we left before…
  • How can I say how much I’m glad
  • To take the sun into my arms?
  • From the basement, gloomy and sad
  • Dreams are blowing, colored and calm.
  • This car is faster than your Russian plane
  • The plane that you take when you are drunk
  • There is more life and no more pain
  • Let’s turn the winter into funk!
  • The sun is hiding behind blue clouds
  • But, sure, I will blow them soon
  • We are lost, and maybe tonight
  • We will see a black and white moon.

Last Wishes

  • Let me get into your car
  • Bring me to a whisky bar
  • I want to shout louder than the Black Trombone
  • And dive into its sound.
  • Then I will catch the Bird
  • Then I will kiss your girl
  • I will drink all I can before throwing it up
  • Before giving up…
  • Let me be a brand-new star
  • Let me catch and broke your guitar
  • After I played it better than you and Django
  • And maybe then, I will go…
  • And if we meet a crazy bus
  • Which drive so fast and crash into us
  • At least I’ll can say before my last breath
  • “What a fucking death!”
